GLUTEN FREE CONFIDENCE SCORE: 4/10
Use caution with this famous hot dog brand. While the ingredient list may appear to show Ball Park franks as gluten-free, Hillshire Farms (the parent company of Ball Park franks) would not state that they were gluten-free. They noted in an email to us that, “We do not promote or certify that any of our products are gluten free currently, as we do not test for gluten. However, due to the demand, we are in the process of making gluten free products, once they officially come out onto the market we will contact you directly to let you know.”If you are on a strict gluten-free diet, you may want to look for another gluten-free hot dog (like Applegate Farms) instead. Please read the ingredient and nutrition label carefully. Need help in understanding what to look for on those labels? We have a guide - check it out!
